Workstart
WHAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY
I got Information on my different trades and got info about stuff, I have never known about it before. I also feel more confident and apprenticeship ready. I liked that when we learned something you would give us a break to take it in. Change nothing you were great, best teacher I’ve ever had.
This course showed me that any problems I might have, other people will have similar and I’m not alone with any worries I might have. I learned lots about what the trades on offer and how a lot of things work. It feels like I’m progressing well into starting my apprenticeship. Phil was a great, relatable, engaging mentor.
When I came for the first day for the Workstart programme, I didn’t know that much about tools and materials used in the Building Industry, but I know just enough to do my work experience.
I now understand that employers don’t care about skills, they only want a good attitude. Knowing that asking questions is expected and that’s what employers want. I could have stayed longer.
